BEVERLY HILLS HOTEL

When the Rodeo Land & Water Company began developing their Beverly Hills project in the early 1900s, they built the Beverly Hills Hotel as its centerpiece. Opening in 1912 with opulence befitting a tract of beautiful custom suburban residences, the hotel consisted of two hundred rooms, twenty-one private bungalows, and a pink paint job which led it to be called the "Pink Palace."

From silent stars Charlie Chaplin, Gloria Swanson, and Rudolph Valentino to Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hepburn and Howard Hughes, just about everyone who was anyone in Hollywood stayed and played at the Beverly Hills Hotel during the past ninety-nine years.

The Beverly Hills Hotel is still very much in business today. For more of the hotel's history, visit http://www.beverlyhillshotel.com/history. You can also book a room while you're there.
